Antwort von Markus:
Hello,
There are several possibilities:
1. You have so many tapes, it's worth the purchase of an A / D converter. More info:
FireWire FAQ">camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit images
2. It is a manageable number Hi8 tapes and You lend for one or two weeks from an A / D converter. Possible source:
Canopus Analog-Digital-Wandler leihen3. Du könntest einen Digital8-Camcorders with Video8-/Hi8-Playback kaufen. Mehr dazu:

Still had a 5th To offer variation:
5. Anyway you're standing in front of the new purchase a DV camcorder and choose a model with analog-in. This can replace an A / D converter.

Good idea, Beiti. I have included your proposal directly to my above list with. ;-)

does not help me next, klappts nich possibly via s-video cable? The signal which is transmitted via an S-video cable is indeed still analog. What were you before, to digitize it? (The possible paths are indeed described above).

... the material of the hdd of the dvd recorder to dub dv cam with no losses?? (Mini) DV DV-AVI with corresponding 5:1-compression.
DVD = MPEG2, which is 14:1-compressed, or more, in Harddisks-/DVD-Recordern typically 30:1. Differences fall on if the MPEG2 codec is the recorder's crap, rustles the material or be very many image changes (eg, pan across a meadow).
Provided that all equipment used to provide needed functionality can be photographs of the analog playback devices on the Harddisks-/DVD-Recorder copy (digitize compress /), then decompress the Harddisks-/DVD-Recorder to the MiniDV camcorder dubbing () and these recordings then like normal DV capture via Firewire recording to your computer.
Try it a try out!
Antwort von schnuffelkalli:
transfer them from Harddisks-/DVD-Recorder to the MiniDV camcorder
precisely because it hooks
the same is not replaying the data from the recorder on the cam
Antwort von Markus:
In this case, the Harddisks-/DVD-Recorder halt only a DV input, but no output. So it is with most of these devices.
Or your camcorder has no DV input. Even that would be (because of additional customs fees) to rule on the German market.

Hello together,
before mal super contribution.
However, I have a thing.
I would like old VHS-C and Mini-DV to DVD, just edit them without burning big archiving and later on the PC.
The only treatment is to take place is out and again I would like rausschneiden individual scenes.
Is it enough to out of the cassettes to be incorporated easily with a DVD recorder or a video card anyway, I must have, etc.?
As I said just want to cut back and burn to DVD scenes, nothing more.
Antwort von JMS Productions:
Hello BarHusk,
This discussion is old but already over 2 years (from 2006 onwards), but s.der approach should have changed the end of 2008 not synonymous.
The best tips for your projects you have already listed Markus yes s.Anfang this discussion.
If you only want little or rausschneiden individual scenes, then a DVD recorder
(with editing function would
be!) For this project interesting. That should be the fastest and easiest way to get your analog recordings quickly and in acceptable quality on your DVDs.
But now, you had mentioned that you recorded your yes synonymous nor permanently on the PC want to archive, but now this is a DVD recorder once more not so good, for you have to somehow get your pictures on your PC. And since you want to archive your recordings (ie pick for the future), the recordings should be archived so even in the best possible quality. That would, however, sending you an analog-digital converter of troubles that you digitize the analog tapes and saves on your PC.
As Mark has already said: If you have a large number of tapes to be digitized, it can be worth an A / D converter to purchase. (He's synonymous) a great resale value. If it is only a few tapes, can you rent a converter so synonymous weekly basis, preferably at www.digitalschnitt.de
If you are the A / D converter should take variant, you can do without a DVD recorder, because, first, a transformer provides a better quality compared to the DVD recorder (because the stores do in the MPEG-2 format, the material therefore, stronger) is compressed and also you have an editing program s.PC with much more editing functions for cutting, as in a DVD recorder.
For a simple cut and immediate viewing on DVD and television, of course, a DVD recorder uncomplicated and quicker.
IMPORTANT ADDENDUM: I just noticed it first:
The A / D conversion story, of course, affects only your VHS-C tapes. MiniDV is a digital format and can with any MiniDV digital camera via FireWire and 1:1 are transferred to the PC without any loss of quality ...
