I have around here and what it hints at things for the PC for editing HDV there.
So, in a unanimous all seem to be: Enough Power needs the box, everything superfluous s.laufen keep.
Lights synonymous me a 'but my question is: Can I get a time specified by a really good PC into a clearly defined step it should work. (I mean a step in video editing, s.besten with Studio 11 or 12)
Thanks for your advice ...

Thanks starters, the question I just synonymous. How much is synonymous as a machine, and how good are the Blu-Ray burner?
Antwort von WoWu:
A PC is only as fast as the combination of operating system and Applkationssoftware permit. The machine is in the rarest cases the limiting factor.

I have 1080i HDV on an Athlon X2 4800 + with 2GB of RAM and Win XP on Sony Vegas 7 geschnitten.
On average, however, it is hardly possible for smooth presentation of the material to achieve maximum quality (Best, Full). Assuming, however, Draft / Full sufficient to preview the wonderful and not jerky when playing.
Therefore, a program which is on this point "scale" is a good investment.

Since I do not seem to be the only one who asks this question ...
I know that my calculator from "fast" components, but I really use the full resources?
As a "starter" in the video world, I stand on such issues but rather in the forest.
So, more tips are welcome :-)

Quite your opinion, but again remains the question: What is the optimal combination?

Hello starters. I know that my next answer is not really helped, but it has been so many discussions, especially in the context of the new codecs and bit streams, where it really difficult to answer without having to repeat it. A brief summary, perhaps ... with MPEG2, you'll perhaps not the clear performance bottlenecks experience, because the requirements, specifically s.die software are relatively small. The processes are not very dynamic and can be fine on the current computers and software at the show. For AVC (HD) looks quite different. Here are the hardware requirements more in the direction of computer architecture as in computing power in the form of seeds "and also very strong in the direction of software in relation to a reasonable load. That has now with a lot of detail issues to do and with details in the different processors. AMD processors, for example, are currently better suited for applications such as the Pentium III architecture. But it is very much synonymous to the quantity and type of memory s.and here with less main memory than with caching. So you see, although I question your only too happy to brief and concise answer would be, is not really that simple. Experiment with the search once the old thread to ... there are many details in it.

Each PC s.der ca 700 Euro category currently brings enough performance to video (HDV) editing.
Value should be based on, for example .... XP graphics card (not onboard graphics) Good Firewire / Capture Card 2048 DDR memory (or more) 500 GB hard disks memory (s.besten 2 plates / with partitions / Raid possibly composite)

Whether or AMD (Intel) Pentium is no first preference ....( although Itel increasingly used in companies, AMD more in household)
DUO or Quad (for Intel) is purely a money issue.
With excessive bombadieren RAM to bring the system (under XP) nothing.
Systems such as in specialized markets or well-known online shops are available on today's users voted.
On all systems of the past 10 months, the studio versions.
BluRay burners or drives worthwhile only for now, since the blanks a bit too expensive, here I would still wait for min 1 years.

Hello WoWu,
Did they do is wrong ... they're not. The whole thing is so synonymous very complex and not easy to answer.
