I have a NV-GS120EG. I've been thinking about whether it would be possible to do with this video camera with infrared night shots.
To test, I have the camera with both an IR remote control as synonymous an IR LED directly recorded. Both were visible.
With you in the forum I have found evidence that cameras often have an IR filter installed. Since the IR, was see the light, I wonder whether this is a "Low Light", which the filter does not filter out correctly, or whether such a filter is not present. Maybe someone has experience with this camera.
While it has a Nachmodus, but this is a color mode in which the number of recorded images is drastically reduced (in fact likely) only for stills - so not really a moving video image possible.
Now the question: Does anybody know whether it is with such a camera would be possible (maybe someone knows from personal experience) across multiple IR LEDs or a purchased IR LED illumination to provide a light to dark in a Picture with the Camera to get.

There are at Panasonic models with the Mode Farbnachtsicht or Color Night View. This is the program with the long shutter speed. The menu can be selected on some models, even the "low light" mode. This infrared filter will rausgeschwenkt. In your Operating in there it is.

Is that so with all Panasonic? If I could do it in the NV-GS280 / in your case 120, the Schwachlichtmodus, and put an IR lamp in the accessory shoe? Would I be in the dark, my room, for example, able to film?

every camcorder has built such an IR filter, without which there would be unsightly ghosting.
