The best you should check with Igus who have such a question certainly heard that one ... would be something that offends not the plastic of the bearing.

Right. The Igus bearings are maintenance free, oils or fats have a negative impact on the loud Manufacturer bearing properties.
Personally, I occasionally use special silicone oil. Resin-free.
Works very well and the stock have not been held against me.
But I think the more I clean with the silicone oil by rail instead dolle too rich - I carry the oil with a microfiber cloth and it remains only a minimal film.
