Frage von Medienmacher:Servus.
In short the system: Avid Media Composer v3.0.5 s.UNITY Fiber Channel Network on a Mac Pro 8-core (Intel Xeon), 8GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.5.
Problem: We have of another company HDCAM tape can restore (because we have no such MAZ) and the entire tape as MXF file export to. They gave us a hard drive to a folder (AVID Media Files/MXF/1) supplied with 5 Files: 1x video track (32GB), 4xAudio (per 130MB).
How can I MXF files in my AVID import and thus cut? I do not know what format the files have (1080 or 720, i or p). In the company that created the files has not reached me grad. Naatürlich it is urgent. * g *

Media `s
tool to find the files not a
project, they have not - at least for me. I have a folder on our Unity to create (in the Title Tool text) and the files of the external disk reinkopiert. Then the msm files deleted and hoped he finds them. If he did not. Simply pull into the BIN or import is not synonymous.
In other MXF Files of P2 or EX-3, we have never been problems, but in this case, I am just baffled.
How do I here? Thank you!

In the "AVIDMediaFiles" is a "MXF" folder.
Dadrin there is a folder of the "1" means.
Now simply "MXF" folder create a new folder for the "2" means (without the quotes) and purely because your MXF files to copy.
AVID software and launch the Media Tool ( "all projects" all the "Drives" button) would need to leave the files show.
In your bin and then you can you can show ( "Headings") what it means for codecs are

Everything already tried: AVID MEDIA FILES folder on UNITY and local Calculator to create and the MXF files reinkopiert there. -> Does not.
MXF files renamed (short file name) -> does not.
I see in the media just no other tool synonymous Project, which is not of us. That should I do, right? Since the Project with the info so MXFs be saved.
* total confusion *

Cause this is perhaps even more well-known fact:
"As of Autumn 2005, there were major problems with MXF interoperability in broadcast post-production use. The two data-recording camera systems which produce MXF, Sony's XDCAM and Panasonic's DVCPRO P2, produce
files which are mutually incompatible due to opaque subformat options obscured behind the MXF file extension. Without advanced tools, it is impossible to distinguish
these incompatible formats. "

Good morning together.
So,
this morning it worked, I have the files. In principle, I've done nothing else than last Friday, but it is running:
New AVID Project created -> Unity Drive selected under Media Creation
-> Project in any JPEG imported, so the AVID correct a Media Files folder on the drive creates Unity
-> MXF files copied to the Unity, on the main level of the MXF folder, not in a subfolder "1" or "2", which did not work
-> Back in the AVID, msm database will be rebuilt
-> In the Media Tool MASTER and MEDIA CLIPS FILES sought on the Unity Drive, "all projects" is selected
-> MEDIA FILES immediately found, since the file name I know, yes. However, only no MASTER CLIP, the same was called. Then just after duration and the sort can MASTER CLIP found (the name was of course quite different).
Very nice, thank you s.alle!
I love the AVID ... :-)
Oh, of course I know that thanks to the now synonymous Headings what format, what frame rate and the DNxHD codec, the files have. Logically ...
