Infoseite // Improved quality via Firewire?

Frage von chrisd:

HEllo people there have a problem.

I bought my camcorder SonyDCR HC 23rd
When I look at the videos on the CAm or CAm s.das connect the TV picture quality of the videos is good.
If I, however, the video files on your PC via USB transfer, I have on the PC a very poor quality, especially when very dark, and generally a very poor resolution.
Now I've heard that one if you use USB instead of FireWire to improve the quality gets. Is that correct ??????

I knew not at that one ever gets the data via USB to the PC. By default, the normal transfer via firewire, because faster and 1:1, as it was synonymous recorded on the MiniDV.
I can not imagine that USB AVI übertägt data, or me, one of you know better?

So go do that already via USB, but I've been told that you can transfer data via USB analog only, not digital.
Can you transfer data even faster than the duration of the Mini DV tape (ie, 60 min)??

Antwort von AndyZZ:

Via USB are usually transferred to the PC, which are possibly present on the memory card on it. There are small movies (in reduced resolution) on it which are of course synonymous copied.
Everything is transferred via Firewire, which is on the magnetic tape on it. And that goes nunmal exclusively in real time, otherwise the band would indeed run faster. But it does not.
Because Microsoft has recently pushed like USB next few cameras only a USB port, which then synonymous with the main movie can be transferred. Whether and how funzt it, I do not know. Firewire (IEEE 1394 or iLink) remains the measure of all things.
The HC23 has a Firewire port. The Firewire card for the PC, if not available, will cost around 10-15 euros, the cable also.

This is not true. USB is a purely digital interface with analog signals, and could do nothing. Nevertheless, it is not well suited to transmit DV data (see above link).

Choice of two answers: No such features exist on magnetic tapes only in the professional sector.

Yes, if the recordings are 60 minutes long, but for example, only 10 minutes. ;-)
