The MKE 300 is indeed quite old, but outstanding and unique in its price class, I was able to convince myself recently.
The only drawback for me is the 1 LR 44 Battery, according to Sennheiser they hold 200 hours, AA or AAA size would have been nice to cheap to use Strong's Battery.
But man can buy as a long-running SR 44 - Silver Oxide - which again will last longer.
And the basic length of about 26 cm (I warns'glaub) must be tested on small camcorders, is shadowing obs.
The Rode has very twilight Test's get, for me it's the best e MKE 300 directional micro for up to 200 ¬.

Hello Chris,
If I had the choice, I would take the Sennheiser. Why? With Sennheiser microphones because I have not and I was wrong about the MKE300 nothing negative come to my attention.

Hello Chris,
If it not necessarily has to be Virgin, I'd try to get a used Sennheiser ME66 (or even an old ME80) with battery power adapter. The price is expected to come close to a new MKH300. Adapter of XLR-3-pol. to Jack for a few dollars get in the trade (I'm assuming that you a consumer camcorder without XLR inputs are using and not dependent on signals are symmetrical). The advantage: You can use the microphone part removed from the supply part and replace it with other parts microphone. It's not always advisable to use an Micro with indicative characteristics. If you use a small camcorder, and before you were, the aufzustecken Micro via hot shoe, here are some of Sennheiser synonymous, although not exactly the best solutions. But can there a synonymous MKE300 may make problems: MKE300 is (about 23 cm long now, if I remember correctly from memory). If it is above s.Camcorders slipped onto the hot shoe, it also stands for smaller camcorders relatively well over the Optics and can cause problems with wide-angle shots.

For the ME66, however, I strongly recommend using an elastic suspension, because this microphone is very sensitive to body sounds. A cost of just under $ 50.

TV One good point, I have therefore now tested once with GS 500 and GS 180.280 MKE 300th Without converter was still plenty of room in GS 500, the Micro would have to be a good 7 inches longer, threw down even scarcer still good were 3-4 cm square.
Well with 0.6 x Wide Angleging's synonymous with all 3s, the GS 180 with 0.6 x but was really not much room there, purely theoretically might be possible with GS 180 + 0.6 x WW + MKE 300 vignetting it is no longer missing recognize many inches around what to do. With GS 500 gabs but no problems.
They are currently popular consumer models, I may wish to try again synonymous Canon Sonyausser HC 1 yes fall off anyway because active accessory shoe or
not even in the Cosumerklasse.

It is said that when a single-ended connection, as it has the Rode shall not operate an extension cable exceeding 3 m in length. Why is this so? Why can not, for example cable length of 5 meters to take?
Antwort von Markus:
You can of course synonymous take a long cable. However, increased with increasing length synonymous the risk of electromagnetic interference.
