I have bought me a dv300 so my movies of my JVC GR-Dvm5 camcorder over firewire can edit. Now I have the problem that my win2000 and the map does not recognize the camcorder. But I do so no movies can capture the whole gives me nothing. rat, or someone knows of this camcorder is easy to become unusable for a firewire card.

if you W2K/SP2 + + DirectX8.0a DV Uptate installed the camera should be recognized.

had this problem synonymous with my dv 500th on an iMac with no problems hats to work.
but I have often read that with jvc equipment problems with the compatibility there.
had in the 500 dv the advantage of the analog input.
the attached link's a compatibility list of pinnacle. mach dich da mal smart.

Hello, I had the same under XP synonymous.
Solution-> camcorder plug into the Charger and only use powered! Not with battery operation!
