Synonymous Of course you can go in via the video input of your card. Only your movies then migrates analog in the PC. Result: massive loss of quality.
With a FireWire digital transmission, the data remains at all times. Conclusion: Transfer without quality loss.
Kuck Simply drop if your PC has a Firewire input. Most current PCs have such. (If you should not know what that looks an input, just look at the link above).
Otherwise you get firewire cards already for around 10 Euros. (Just think of the fact that they OHCI-compatible - but everything is synonymous determined in the link).
Have fun, Jens

Man, but say the same, that you have an analog camcorder tststs ... ...
Since the PC can even see anything. Excuse me that should work then?
You make the following: If you move the camera via composite or SVHS (depending on what options you have) s.deine have TV card plugged in, you go into your capture / cut Prorgamm (eg virtual dub -> times google for it) and choose from the video source.
Oh yes: turn on camera and tape play to remember ...;-)
