Frage von vonlahnstein:Hello,
I have a Manfrotto tripod with the Manfrotto 503 tripod head.
My Camera: SonyZ5.
In small pan in the telephoto range, I'm having trouble for some time. They must first overcome a frictional force, then of course, the camera pans at some point inadvertently too fast ...
You know what I mean?
What can I do? Is the camera too heavy for the tripod? Can the tripod, thus maintaining the tripod head somehow that we can again make smooth pans?
Best regards,
vonlahnstein

Was the problem of early S.da? Have you adjusted the damping times already?

Test times with cursing ;-)
No, seriously: your camera is not too heavy for it. I have the 503 HDV / 525 PKIT for my CANON XH-A1.
Your observation is true good. Someone here has expressed this way: The head of "sticks" to the pan. If the head once more "in motion", everything is in order. I've got my problems sometimes synonymous.
But turn on the telephoto side is anyway hard work for the head.
