Frage von Telestein:Hi, we are a small local television from Switzerland and have the following problem: Until now we have our contributions in avi format, because the file size we have now converted to mpeg2. Since then we often ruckelde pictures and a Kammeffekt at fast movements on the TV screen. We cut our broadcasts in the studio 9 We take the default settings "DVD Compatible" with 720x576 and 6000KBits/sek. By Avi files, we had no problems, ie those Kammeffekt and the s.and to ruckelden photos we had not. The contributions are of a normal PC on the graphics card s.der S-video jack and with the Windows Media Player with a special software. What do we do wrong? Thank you for your help.
Antwort von Hildenheimer:
Hello!
ie, the AVIs are already progressive? When you walk in "DVD Compatible" is possibly carried interlacing (because a DVD is usually interlaced). In contrast, the MPG really progressive, it might be s.dem Media Player is playing this for me synonymous progressive MPGs forcibly as interlaced from - the same symptoms.
My tips:
1. Check if the AVI is really progressive and whether the Convert to MPG not "ge-interlaced" is.
2. Play the MPG via VLC player for example, see above there are progressively displayed.

Antwort von Hildenheimer:
... and give your MPGs quiet 9000kBit / s ;-)
Antwort von kriss:
No clue whether the Progressive are?
The movies will only play in Media Player, we can not choose another player.
The editing program I have the following setting:
- Variable Bitrate
- Constant Bitrate
- Draft mode
- Video Filtering
- Progressive Encdierung
- Always the full movie encode
is selected only "constant bitrate"
Antwort von Hildenheimer:
The program is the dialogue for "DVD compliant" MPG-export? Then probably "Progressive Encoding" lead to the desired effect. Otherwise, the files are well-prepared interlaced.
Try it.
To test whether really no "Kammeffekt" (interlacing) occurs in the video, you should still take the VLC player - just so you know what thing. Possibly. Problems when playing in Media Player then again what else.
