Frage von Axel:The film was yesterday officially sneak preview of my movies (s.Donnerstag he starts). I could only see a few scenes, but they were witty and thought provoking. Premise: All men tell the truth, always. The biggest Loser (the thick-Ricky Gervais, the director also synonymous) invents the first lie out of desperation.
Dialogue sample:
Jennifer Garner (s.der door): "You have disturbed me masturbating."
Gervais: "That sounds exciting. I hope our discussion leads to sex."
Garner: "I do not. I find you unattractive."
Gervais: "Pity."
In the film, Gervais is an unsuccessful screenwriter. Films look like this, that a prominent speaker sits in front of the camera and reads historical facts.
The dreary, functional equipment (many shades of brown) shows synonymous in the production design, like the "real truth" looks and feels.
In the original, the film is called
The Invention Of Lying. We often encourage them to us when the fixtures are completely in English, but translation is
so stupid to make really hard.
