Hi Folks,
can someone tell me whether the VL20 fits the Canon XL2?
According to the website's only the SA with 1 adapter for the tripod thread :-) (what a typical solution canon .. gag)
On photographs, however, sees the VL20 will so fit in as if they were accessory to the shoe or is that wrong? (the photos in the grid are not exactly high res ..)
In any case I would have the VL :-( 10 on weak, unfortunately I do not know whether we can in the VL10 the bulb against a share of 20, he would of course be great .. the ..?
if it were me ;-) ichs considered in VL3 again much better
ne decent video light so who knows .. bescheid says otherwise, I've set myself to buy on ebay a handful of them (sony; hama and imperial) and just what solls rumzutesten :-): - /

PS: what do you think of a Canon Universal charger? That would be .. no longer have to worry about different batteries s.lamp and cam .. easy to load .. naja innovations ....

The cameras, which I usually know of are fitted front (the lens). My small video lights (20 and 40 watts) would be the direction of mounting no preference, because the accessory shoe port is symmetric.

So the Vl 20 is now here (kaiser top 35 is already synonymous aufm weg :-)
must say that it is not a bad lamp processing is .. .. the top light is scattered and reaches about 3-5 meters in the dark night is behind everything
(ne is icy halogen bulb (unbiased))
The battery is a BP e772 (2400mAh) for this you need an extra charger, unfortunately :-(

This VL 20 has a universal accessories shoe with the wheel .. so they festziehn synonymous fit on my Canon XM 2 :-)

Vl20 is compatible with BP-711 BP-714 BP-726 BP-729, BP-E718 BP-E722 BP-E818 as far as I can tell ..
the bulb is extremely hard to get rejected (looks like canon not yet interviewed) in the UK, the 35 Euros pays wages ;-)
Osram there are similar for 3,50 euro ..
Unfortunately, it is a 6 volt halogen .. rare.

So now I have the following models in the test:
Canon Vl 20 (20 W with 2200 mAh battery)
Kaisten Top 35 (35 W with 2600 mAh battery)
Hama Magnum 40 S (2 * 20 W with 2600 mAh battery)
The VL 3, I would still synonymous try .. but I thought 3 watts are comparable with the nem match .. yes enable everyone to test ;-)
So yes, the battery levels are about the same.
From the brightness can be said that the 40 watt lamp scores absolutely .. almost equal to the 35 watt lamp (Hama stays cool with glowing Emperor from right), the Canon VL 20 is very weak, therefore comparatively to the other two.
All lamps are creating more than 4 meters Antsändig illuminate (in total darkness), you can forget everything behind, in fact (depending on the shrill claim)
next post comes to light duration and which I keep for the XM2 ..
Perhaps it should be mentioned that the Canon "halogen lamp" in Comparison to the Hama and Kaiser bulb is harder to find! (because it is a compact (reflector is part of the pear)

The lr-20 can not be tipped to shine on and suddenly stops when a minimum voltage is not applied (very bad), it is also the hardest and weakest light
the hama-2 * 20 watt lamp has lit more than the 35 watt lamp of the emperor! is full tilt and has a 6 volt adapter port for direct loading of the batteries! milchglas that diffuses the light lightbulbs both good .. but it weakens synonymous s. in comparison to the emperor has no milchglas before the lamp! of the manufactures are the 40 watt unfortunately slowed somewhat. (frosted glass can be removed!)
furthermore, the battery bracket seems to be something loose .. the battery can be quite easy to unclip
-The Imperial has a "power control indicator (green, orange, red) it does not have an easily replaceable pear milchglas and they also like the hama is tilted towards the front but unfortunately ..
streung to be said that the hama the best option is to recognize there are no rings!

Generally it can be said that the Kaiser and Hama are both red hot as previously claimed not only the kaiser.Die lr 20 is pretty left ..
Then after 20 minutes synonymous breaks the HAMA very quickly with the current battery (see above)
CONCLUSION: HAMA and Kaiser will have in the choice to decide I probably closer to the HAMA and a 4000 mAh battery for it .. buy it should be 30-40 minutes of light inside sein.Die Emperor retains even if I prefer the HAMA with the 4000 Battery to a lump of plastic melts .. My solution, partly self-construction, consists of: built in 2 Hama Magnum with 30Watt ever, ever a jack for external power supply, 6V sealed lead acid battery with 7AH in universal housing; 2 cables with appropriate hollow connector, battery life of 3 hours, total less than 100 ¬. Construction time approximately 3 hours.

I have now ordered an old head light with 75 watts, because what comes out decent, can thus synonymous indirectly (through the ceiling) are working.
Since the battery will cost a good 400 euro, it is synonymous does a used Harley-Davidson Battery or dryfit Battery in a shoulder bag.
Otherwise, I have s.heute 1x150W, 2x500W plus 1x1000W and aggregate, rollable lamp stands and 50m cable car: o)

some ancient Sachtler, which was forged from a solid yet.
I do not need to be dimmed, because since the light is red.
price no preference, because I am a technical craft and pretty much anything can repair itself. Matte black radiator paint over it and had isses as new: o))
If I do not "shoot" should I have thought something else:
An old hand 220V lamp (Super-8 time) without a fan with G6-plug socket, then the lamp fitted with 12V, spiral cable and turn the light reporter is ready.
With the battery I need to search again little, perhaps here lies with the BOSCH service around another.
Money is mom. bit short, but still so many months left: o)

Cheapest portable power source is currently probably the sealed lead acid battery.
