Panasonic uses a proprietary standard, whose name I currently do not have ready (probably something with "remote"). Whether your specific camcorder control this possibility, I can - without camera or Manual to possess - not to say.

LANC ... ... but first I would be interested to know what you still need ... An application has been referred to Tom - the underwater housing. For non-divers is another important aspect: with LANC or Panasonic-similar protocol may be a camera operator behind the camera is connected and thus very conveniently from the swivel handle controlled, if it sits on a tripod. Anyone who has ever tried, it will no longer want. Also in connection with a Kamerakran is very convenient.
