Hardly a modern camera with AVCHD recording has now have the opportunity to join a zoom Hinterkamerasteuerung. On LANC now abandoned even when SONY EX1R. I wanted to buy myself actually. But without a LANC makes no sense to me, as I only receive and do not need the tripod from the Zoomer.
Now I have my "old" PANASONIC SD300 - back in service. does anybody know if there is a Zoomer for this model? But I would by no means some "tinkering", but to buy a working unit.

LANC is indeed only one of several possibilities of remote control and the EX1R just supports a different method: A Hinterkamerabedienung the "usual suspects" (Manfrotto, for example) you can connect in any case. Also Panasonic has always cooked their own soup, not compatible with LANC was / is.
