Hi,
I need a piece of advice: My school has some money and says I can before the summer holidays (ie next week) for a laptop DV editing buy. On our (stationary) computer video editing, we have a liquid. Previously, we had almost overnight of Pinnacle Edition predecessors and all I want to stay in the system. Now, my dealer said, Liquid 7 run on the new laptops do not, because it does not support DirectX 10 and 3D graphics cards of the laptops on the market all require DirectX 10. Whether a new Avid Liquid version with DirectX 10 support to bring out was not clear.
Has anyone info, experience or a tip on this?

Liquid has apparently already been all API interfaces of DX9 used, hence the problem.
On conversion to the standardized interfaces of DX10 is being worked on, whether it is to succeed and in particular whether such a patch will still pay off is uncertain.

Avid Liquid 7.2 runs on all ATi cards (synonymous 3000 series), even under Vista without problems.
Have your own Vista-based notebook (HD2600 mobility) and a calculator (HD3870) each with Avid Liquid 7.2 run smoothly. Flott is synonymous yet:)
With NVIDIA cards s.der 8er generation there are only problems ...
However, the liquid developer is already a patch in development (beta already - only available to registered testers), the NVIDIA DX10-solll problems.
