Hi,
I'm a newcomer here and have the relevant articles already read, but despite need help.
We want a play - live on a laptop backstage look at the same time and save. We want a good camcorder with approximately 20 m and firewire cable to connect the film and live performance on the laptop backstage and watch store. Since we still have no equipment (but the money) Here are my questions:
1. Which camcorder is suitable to s.Besten. In Sonyist probably partly so that the USB or Firewire mode can not be activated when recorded will. :-( (
2. How long can the Firewire cable, without loss of quality that it or other problems?
3. Do I need a laptop to a specific software (there is an "Standadrsoftware" - Flash Player .... or so?) To the live recording to see and save. If yes, what is the best :-))
4. Is there a good live encoding software that is the signal from the camcorder and compressed at the same time
*. wmv files (for Media Player and possibly for a live streaming over the Internet) yet?

2. How long can the Firewire cable, without loss of quality that it or other problems? Often you will find details of up to 10 m cable length, with up to 5 m as safe. The latter, I can confirm: with 5 meters FW cable with me, there were never any problems. Longer cable runs can be interposed with amplifiers (called repeaters) realize. The effort is necessary but often not in proportion to an end.
Qualitatively would a good synonymous Y / C cable in question, which this cable does not need amplifiers and a similarly good picture quality would provide. Here would be an ordinary A / D converter is required, so that signal quality is maintained synonymous.

1. I have viewed WinDV ..... there are other software, if synonymous' what does it cost? Free would be even CaptureFlux. If there is something more comfortable and cost may be, would be synonymous ScenalyzerLive as a program host in question.
2. Do you know the camcorder for our Project are particularly well suited ... Not really. Would be helpful info on what qualitative properties that meet your camcorder needs and budget is what is observed.

ME is even adding one "DV Recording" on hard drive possible.
You should separately with the cameras on the Einsetellungen tape recording (for security) and with the PC you can also mix the Picture, view and record.

So we often capturing live events directly from the mixer via a cam and go into the notebook as always with the Scenalyzer (www.scenalyzer.com).
The thing costs 39, - ¬ and accompanied us for years now without a failure or other problems.
On the subject of Firewire is 20 meters nornamlerweise no problem - the cable should not be around the corner from Tandler, because as I have already written outpost Firewire is not really a "system" in order to overcome distances.
For our live visuals, however, we use a Firewire cable with 20 m length - now synonymous been over a year and have never had problems with it.
Cost of the cable but were around 70, - ¬ and we have ordered it www.expansys.com

Now again to the camcorder. I voted for the camcorder to a budget of about ¬ 1000, but would only like + - 500 ¬ to spend. (Where applicable, we buy two)
Which camcorder could you recommend me for our projects.
- Firewire output (during recording)
- Good resolution
- Tripod accessories ... ...
- Practically in the handling and stability :-))

In a theatrical performance, I would rather put something strong light. Weiss does not like the lighting in your piece but it is often the light at such events is not good for video recordings (unless the TV and the lighting anrückt setting dictates)

The Camera should be either a manual exposure control allow or at least one function "Spotlight" possess.
Problem in the theater is the most uneven illumination of the stage and thus the problem of high contrasts.
If an actor right in the light cone is his face is overexposed, because the whole scene in the "dark message" and we must always nachkorrigieren manual - either real or just using Aperture via the Spotlight feature.
