Frage von peez:My company will perform a Christmas event for a small HD live streaming.
The camera we have. It provides an HD component (YUV) signal, and maybe a HDV signal via FireWire (I have yet to find out whether that is synonymous ago) issued from.
My approach was now, with the capture of any HD YUV capture card and VLC to stream directly via the Network. VLC can indeed quite good, even with MPEG-2 encoding (we need MPEG-2, because the existing TV applications, unfortunately, only MPEG-2 to speak).
Unfortunately, I now stumble over the choice of capture card. Actually, I was of the opinion that there should be s.Meer components capture cards like sand ... So far I have, however, only the "found Capture AVerMedia AVerTV HD (H727). Does the card and someone knows whether it was synonymous get a live signal?
Or ne other recommendation? I think so to 400 euros if it were our business.
Schonmal Thanks in advance!

We have then made via FireWire and VLC has worked well.
Then you do not need a capture card. A FireWire input should have any calculator.

... And yes, firewire is the best way to do things like that because they are synonymous then can save the transcoding to MPEG2.
