Hello!
When editing software I use Premiere Pro CS3. Until now I always have with the Adobe Media Encoder M2Vs created (PC) and then s.Mac with DVD Studio Pro 3 is a DVD created. On my old CRT TV, the quality is super, because I now synonymous but was converted to LCD, I was with the quality no longer satisfied. Did it a little experimenting and I have come to the following Results:
The best quality I had when I first made an uncompressed AVI (half assembled) and then create s.MAC Compressor with the M2V file to create.
Problem is, however, the file size of uncompressed video. 3 minutes = 6 GB!
How do you that? Am grateful for every tip!

I use the "ALWAYS" Uncompressed AVI if I video material between cutting programs (After Effects Premiere Pro ðà ðà Encore DVD) and her transfer out. The data are extremely large but there is no image quality lost and I think that's the key. Moreover Rändert AE and PP an uncompressed AVI faster than a compressed.
My video comes on HDV 1080i 50i as Split / m2t in my computer. The scenes with the AE must be processed, in PP as (AVI Uncompressed, 1080i 50i) and exported in AE inserted. AE will also be made again (AVI Uncompressed, 1080i 50i) exported and inserted back in PP. After the color correction in PP will be a (Uncompressed AVI, DV 25p) exported and imported into Encore. Done!
From the import of all projects, I believe nothing. Partial Effects and expression are only partially or not at all accepted. And certainly, I think nothing of videos, which, if they are still next be edited for reasons of space are compressed. Already after two Komprimierungsdurchläufen the picture quality is visibly worse.
In the era of hard disks with 1TB is no shame in anything Uncompressed AVI to edge. I have got used to, projects to have the 800GB size.
I do everything s.PC.

Thank you, yes confirming my approach. Good, the HDD memory is not much more ...
But another question: Generates Encore because a good quality? This will however use the same encoder as Premiere. And since a compressor delivers but better quality.
Would like to know how the results from TMPEG or Squezze are? Did someone experience?
