Hello, I want to cut MPEG video.

My problem is:
there are only pure *. mpg files, that is not (!) divided into
*. *. m1v or m2v or *. mpv.

What software can I then *. Cut mpg files?

But precisely these file types are required, but to me are not available.

I work during normal cutting with Premiere Pro (NLE), is to create an MPEG file.

This eventually generated MPEG file is then no longer in Premiere Pro as MPEG-cut.

So:
how does the program with those you can cut MPEG files?

Pinnacle, Ulead, Magix and in my opinion, Premiere, etc.. I still do not understand what's going on here for a specific problem, I almost cut MPEGs every day, s.Dateityp as such can not lie.

if all else fails, you just need your. mpg file into a (eg) DV Pal convert and edit! I am no longer with Premiere, but can safely say that there is a standard (MPEG). Scneiden mpg and import it!

Remember that if you are already at. Mpg export the problem arises?

Why you have exported in Mpeg - a relic from the Stone Age?

Normally require NLE. M2t and not. Mpg files to cut and there are probably quite a difference. So for example, recognizes Liquid sometimes with its own exotic settings exported. Mpg files not immediately, but only about tricks, but this is pretty meaningless, because I have never been such a cut had to be retrofitted.
However, Magix is synonymous ready sliced. Mpg files always import and probably many other synonymous NL editors ....

So - my vegas 8 for example is it schnurzegal, whether we like it or m2t with MPG2 feeds (m2t files provide almost all HDV camcorder) ...
I think almost uli thread starter has a problem with gemuxten files - it would probably demuxer to use in its software to be able to process. that is free with ProjectX. but it is only my conjecture, the request is not enough accurate.

Hello, I have now to solve my own problem detected!
Here in our "big" discussion (I am grateful for it ...) is now the term "export" and fallen since it first CLICK made for me.

I have in Premiere, only the first. Mpg file "open" want.
Mir is now suddenly become clear: I can not "open" - I have to export!

(Then the work with the cut ...)
