I have a problem, for which I have no explanation so far, much have I found a solution.
When I think of home-burned video DVDs out of the encoded MPEG2 files back again to copy the hard drive (for example, with Ulead), I have during the subsequent playback of those files with Windows Media Player
no sound. This relates to me the way, only MPEG2 files, which I copied back of DVDs - other MPEG2 files in Media Player to run properly
with sound.
The Eigentartige is now that will play the MPEG2 files of the source or DVDs in the preview window of my video editing (Ulead)
with sound, that it is quite sound in some way so far.
Why is that? Is my media player may not be up to date, and I need an upgrade or plug-in?

Hi,
"MPEG2 files that I copied back of DVDs" are VOB files and NOT the same as with the original MPEG2 files. With the appropriate software (eg Ulead's "DVD MovieFactory ') can be made to re-animate the original VOB MPEG2 files'. These are then i.allg. synonymous by the media player plays correctly.

Since I am primarily an "application" as an "experimenter" bin (the latter I tend to do on a design level), I will probably not too much of you deal with the mentioned filters. Meanwhile, I have also experienced by such a reference in a neighboring thread that I lose MPEG2 files so as synonymous with PowerDVD can play - and lo and behold: the sound is played!
Not only that: In contrast to the infamous Windows Media Player, PowerDVD also plays the files without Kammmuster.
