Frage von Miene Baja:Hello,
I am an absolute video Newbie. I have taken with a borrowed Canon HFS10 a concert. The data has taken me by a colleague on my stick - in MTS format.
On my Macbok I FCE4 and iMovie, and get the files do not open it. I thought FCE4 should be the entry-universal format compatibility miracle!?
What can I do? Programs to convert to there? What am I doing in the future in order to circumvent the outset the "problem" of too?
Plan a similar model (HF100)) to buy.
Thank you for your help!

The currents alone, you can not import into iMovie does not yet FCE. You need the entire AVCHD folder structure of the memory card. The only way you'll get your material imported.

Hi,
Perhaps you can help Voltaic.
On the homepage synonymous, there is a demo version, with which you can test it erstmal:

I advise starting explicitly Of VoltaicHD. VoltaicHD uses FFmpeg to the MTS-E) in an intermediate transcoding to MP4 to (re recompression) and then into the desired. MOV formats (re recompression. This need not be, so I would prefer to use Toast, Toast for the transcoder decodes the frames and compress them directly in the target codec, ie, in Comparison to VoltaicHD there is only one additional compression step.
Apart from that VoltaicHD in FFmpeg "Hall Of Shame". That's uncool.
