Future copy protection (in the conventional sense) is unnecessary, because scalable codecs will be included in the erosion Storage feature. And get that 1080p50 as a scalable codec, should be beyond question.

I think five years not so unrealistic. There will undoubtedly be the future but not the content distributors are very interested and are synonymous s.dem distribution key. But something of Macrovision (in digital), there will be probably in the meantime not synonymous and the time is simply not ripe for proprietary solutions. I think it is now synonymous again. But the 5 years could fit. But what are already 5 years? They are now synonymous already over 21 years since we have introduced encryption on TV (then analog).
