Hello.
From some Contribuïr here from the forum, I have picked out that quite often it is recommended the Manfrotto video tripod 525 tripod plus 503rd
Since I now synonymous zuzulegen before the decision is, for my XL-2 a good Tripod raises only the question whether this is a pure studio tripod. The background of that I would take such a tripod on trips (not backpacking, etc.). Spoke at what combination of the above, however, if so, there would be a qualitatively comparable alternative for my purposes?

The MF 055 Pro Tripod, I can highly recommend synonymous. However, I use another tripod head (MA 410) with self adjustment (very useful), because I mostly take photos. It is not exactly easy, but really solid and very well made. In addition, you can install the central column horizontally synonymous. The max. Height of 170 cm synonymous, I find quite extraordinary. Lighter with the same quality there are certainly synonymous, but are probably several times as expensive. The MA 055 each for 139 EUR you get without a tripod head, which is anyway probably not Videokamerageeignet.

I read most of your posting that you would then have been more synonymous to the 525/503 combination?
In fact, the XL2 is not very compact, but still handier than any shoulder mounted camcorder. But quality must be stop:)
And I have Assi synonymous here - something needs to be used for my husband too: D

For organized shoot I take the Manfrotto 525 with 503-head, with the holiday, are on a consumer Velbon tripod. The 525/503-Kombi would be too big and too heavy, since my partner and I do like city breaks, and thereby to walk a lot of miles.
Locally with Camera on it, I would always prefer the Manfrotto, but to bear s.liebsten this simple 550g/40cm-Reisestativ, which I have for the camera there. ;-)
Viewed another way: If your husband continues to go on vacation with you if he always 525/503-Kombi must bear? 5 kg (according to manufacturer) do not listen to much, but in the long run, the arms are pretty long. ... 've Just weighed, there are pockets and spider with a total of 7 kg!

've Just weighed, there are pockets and spider with a total of 7 kg! That is exactly my fear. Unfortunately, my husband is not always synonymous here, so that it falls back off carrying me. And you're right, can carry 7 kilos by the city or on the mountain certainly be exhausting. On the other Page, I do not want to abandon s.meinen synonymous locations on a good tripod. Nothing is more annoying than later have to throw in sifting the best scenes because of bad pans or wobbles too? On a tripod, I turn, consumer-war no clever head. The 503er of Manfrotto would have been the first choice, but the best (and easier) Tripods sure to be modest - perhaps 755 o. 745, something in carbon construction? That is exactly my problem: a fluid head with a light and sturdy tripod, all in the price range of 503/525 kit?? Is there sowas anyway? ;-)

Fluid head, stable and easy, but not even priced in the vicinity of the said Manfrotto tripod to move the video of Velbon tripods. However, I would doubt that you will be happy with an XL2 on a Velbon. In addition, the XL2 is just too top-heavy, what with the Velbon tripod, can not be compensated.

And with a bit of exercise gets you out so beautiful scwenks.
I have to me a bag of m & h bought, which I pimp a lot with thin hardboard and foam "was.
it then had the xl2 and the steady stick space.
I would like to participate to miss any more!
my manfrotto tripod and my beautiful aluminum case remained at home in the warm!
(only the strong winds in Iceland was initially a small problem)

lxrox Well, I do not know whether (the steady stick certainly fulfill its purpose, replace) a stable tripod with a good head can? As a stopgap measure is certainly an alternative but I'd have said a sincere but rather bad feeling.

A tripod replaces the steady stick in any way.
travel but it is a practical tool which is easy to fit in a camera bag, and still makes much more peaceful images to film as freehand, especially with the xl2.
there is even a belt part on which one will last to the xl2 has. and smooth pans come out of the body's rotation.
