Not quite understand what is happening in connection with the MPEG 2 encoding is meant? How could there be a workflow? Does that mean that I have DVD's on the box can encode?

A somewhat cryptic post, because in the MXO2 unlike eg no AJA hardware codecs are implemented but the encoding must be connected to the MAC then afford. Whether that will still work in real time depends on the MAC. The MXO2 is only a hardware interface with HD / SDI, HDMI, HD/SD- YUV, S-video ..... etc.
Like the also with the "brand" and will only support MPEG2 codec behaves probably only know the author and his confidential source.
Matrox would enable the hitherto stalled completely different concept.
Because it is so far only a hardware interface is, of course, would be interesting to know whether the future then is it a transcoder.
If so, of what to what ... or lands then everything on MPEG2?

Perhaps another question is also allowed:
What says the confidential source is that in the MPEG-2 HD in 4:2:2 formation with only 30 frames is defined?
Do we all only 30 frames?

Are you sure that the encoding makes the Mac?
For me, it sounds as if it would make the MXO?

@ Chris
Already correctly, as it sounds, make the new in the box probably the box itself ....
The box, as shown at NAB and it was present Line of Matrox, had no separate encoding but only the file-handling.
And the link seems synonymous nor the old box to describe.
The question is just why MPEG2 for HD has been chosen, because this standard is very limited for HD has been defined and European format for even less. Times I'm going assume that it is a standard format and not to any proprietary format when there already is MPEG-2.

Has anyone MXO2 who can confirm that the cross-conversion now works?
