Frage von Hmarc:Hi,
I am writing my final paper and show in a chapter the pros and cons of video DSLRs, in contrast to the HVX200. Especially in the field of concert recordings.
The clip length of DSLRs is still limited because of the file size limit of 4GB CF cards.
Parts of modern DSLRs with longer clips of the sequences, like the HVX200 with its MXF files on so you only by the size of CF card include limited, as long as you want?

Currently, only the Panasonic GF / GH series (although there exists at EU models, a restriction to 30 minutes because of customs regulations). All others have the 4GB limitation.
... And how can you write such a shallow issue a bachelor thesis?

Deti hi, thanks for the quick response!
I had also heard that the sensors are to overheat the cameras with longer shots. Is this a general problem? I have a rotary asked a cameraman of TVN Productions, which turns a lot with the Mark2. He said they still had noProbleme
/ E: customs restrictions? Sounds interesting. Have you got ne source for me? Finally, do not want to build Gutenberg: D
Antwort von deti:
This is not a general technical problem - just have the DSLR Manufacturer far done little for the cameras to make typical video cameras. Who needs a video camera is to buy one. On top of all the Canon DSLRs at only 80% of the respective high-resolution. In this respect, one must weigh wait, if you want a shallow depth or a good resolution (... and possibly auto-focus, XLR inputs, any recording time, etc). I personally am not a big fan of DSLRs, but we use them anyway because they are very cheap and they are often able to exchange for new ones. Therefore, synonymous to get over a loss is good.

This is just one small aspect of the Bachelor thesis. The real issue is the theoretical part a product description. The practical part is a 40-minute tour documentary with interviews etc.

Otherwise, there's the technical reason: The sensors are warm during the recording - some even get so hot that the camera could be damaged.

Hi,
The clip length of DSLRs is but because of file size limit of Not only are synonymous overheating problems, both in the recording as synonymous even in Live View. For more detailed info you'd have to consult the manuals of the cameras. Where zurCanon5DmkII and 7D are such restrictions in it explicitly, as well as other restrictions on file system or customs reasons.
Concert recording with such DSLRs require a reasonably clever logistics with many cameras, at least if the goal is to be usVollständigkeit. Since I'd rather use a Kameramix, which utilizes the best advantages of each.

I just forests by the User Manuals of Mark2 and EOS7D, but non will really find. Since only what is it that the 7D is warm and you can get burned. The sensor may be damaged, of which there is no mention.

The sensor may be damaged, of which there is no mention. No Semiconductors have eternal life: the aging of a semiconductor advances in operation and particularly at high temperatures above stronger. For the inexperienced user is likely to be an increased number of dead / hot pixels make felt.
