This is done in my grave.
First, I had never seen a problem with a codec pack (I, however, only a few selected codecs synonymous install it) and secondly, they had even explicitly asked for the media player. Adobe Premiere: program no longer works). Before installing any software, I always secure first an image of my system. This has already saved me many a day. ;-)
