Frage von Börnie:Hallo erstmal,
I'm new here and have been because of my question for a while the Internet durchwühlt. Maybe you can help me.
I am using for my DV editing program Magix. When capturing the data it converts my miniDV camcorder into an AVI file to. My idea was now, this data on an external Mediabox to save it. Thus the raw data I can to the TV directly rübertragen and watch later by DV editing s.PC convert into beautiful films.
Unfortunately I have not found Mediabox the Magix AVI format with codec "DVSD" supports. I have already tried some.
Weiss here someone from your District Council? Since this is probably an "intermediate issue" involved, it is difficult to strike the right forum to find ...
Thanks in advance

Antwort von Quadruplex:
If you have your video as DV-AVI save Magix is no specific format ...
Antwort von joerg-emil:
Quadruplex is right, Magix makes the import via firewire not more synonymous than the other (sometimes free) programs. It scoops the data without umzukomprimieren from your camcorder to your plate. So it is the codec of your DV cam, which is difficult. Have with the DVSD codec synonymous in other types of problems (Motion Perfect can not handle him). To avoid this, put the AVIs in Magix and export them as uncompressed video (File-Export-uncompressed video). That does not last too long and these are AVIs nahzu with all applications compatible ...

Hello Jörg,
I got me another Mediabox (Pearl PE8090) concerned and therefore can try next. Unfortunately, your help tip "Export as uncompressed AVI" nothing. Again, this file is not readable. Also by exporting as a Windows AVI "no success. Only by exporting to DivX or MPEG file is readable. But then of course, is compressed, what I do not want.
Hence the question: is there an AVI format (uncompressed), the widely read and how can I create such a - for example with a video -Converter/welchen? Or is the origin of DVSD-camcorder as long s.der file and makes them liable for allowing Mediabox unreadable until it is compressed?
Habs already synonymous with the Pearl Hotline tried, but gave me only synonymous to compressed AVI formats (DX50. ..).
Thanks in advance

Hello Börnie,
according to the technical data in Perl, this box is not DV - play video. So it is with uncompressed video.
Many supported formats: MPEG-1 (AVI / MPG / DAT), MPEG-2 (AVI / VOB), MPEG4 (AVI / ASF / XviD) It remains your only MPEG-1, -2 or -4 one of the specified container. And Mpeg1 and 2 in the AVI container but is unusual.
It is synonymous to me so far has not succeeded in a Mediabox in local electronics market to find the DV - Video will play.
Should it give something (at normal prices), I would be interested synonymous.

Hello Börnie,
Hi Martin,
pity that your answer only now arrived. Ich hab mir is so synonymous procured a similar box and am quite desperate. I had hoped synonymous, the thing is all AVI files. Well, is not. Avi is just a container in which a variety of formats may be kept. My box reads synonymous only MPEG 1 +2 +4, or DIVX, whether in the Avi-container or not. Bin synonymous to the product purely fallen.
There were wild with me still setting up problems. Until the box I was up and running, is already a lot of water flowed down the Rhine. Apart from the fact that the menu in a Sprachenmix from French and German will therefore, I must choose the NTSC setting, so that the PAL - Play works. Who should be there please come out. Any ignorant housewife would have just tried, it took me hours, until I was so desperate, and this setting the loss of my small-videographers dignity still carried.
Despite the faster hard drive is lagging the sound when playing at 2 / 10 sec behind. Thank God this value is constant, so I can prepare in advance MPEGs and the sound move.
The menu is lowest grotto, folder structures are not recognized. All in all, therefore not recommended ....
Greetings from the Rhine

Hello Jörg,
I've only time a "creative pause" brought before me a new Mediabox has increased. As you from my own experience shows, do as many hours of frustrating rumbropierens into the country ....
To the point: I will therefore synonymous my current Mediabox PE8090 of Pearl back. Incidentally, apart from The AVI problem runs flawlessly, handling is ok, even vivid images are possible.
I would set up a Wrote s.Pearl release and describe the situation again. Now I know that I am not the only problem with this bin. Maybe could be a future Mediabox hinbiegen - would have laughed.
Frustrated greetings
