Frage von Xframe:Hi,
I have lots of ready-cut mini-DV films I have (rendered) prepared in 4:3 DVD Mpeg!
Now I would like to convert these movies in 16:9. I have already tried these films with various Programs and encoders, such as transforming as TMPGenc Xpress to 16:9. The Ergebins is unfortunately a 4:3 movie (of course, have previously selected 16:9).
Can you give me tips as I must do it to convert my movies in 16:9?
Thank you!

Can you give me tips as I must do it to convert my movies in 16:9? What do you want? Pillar (ie black bars left / right), high-zoom (ie cropping up / down) or only to distort full width?
What should be the result? A DVD in 16:9 format? An HD format?
Antwort von Xframe:
Thank you for the quick reply!
So, I want to zoom to full width. The ears laughed slightly from the image content is facing me, is not tragic. The Verhältinis should, therefore, vote here.
It should be a high-definition format.
Thank you!

Antwort von Debonnaire:
Then take your 4:3 movies to choose NLE you trust, a 16:9 HD-preset for your timeline (or for the Project before you begin any), select "Scale" (or the equivalent in common use there) from, pull your clip on the Width of the frame and possibly move your clip up or down, if the display window does not fit and render out again.
Sorry, but how can you not come to something like itself?
Antwort von Hans-Joachim:
More surprising still happy that the output should be in HD. If the original file has an aspect ratio of 4:3, it is likely to SD PAL recordings. With the conversion to 16:9 have information is lost - and then will be displayed in HD? How is this to be pixelated, then?
This procedure is considered correct?
Antwort von Debonnaire:
This procedure is considered correct? No, the logical not of someone who can not even derive a scale up a clip in the NLE itself!

You need something as http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/products/all/magic-bullet-instant-hd/
synonymous with AviSynth can do something is, of course NEN Tick heavier.
Quality is of course not the bomb, especially if you only scalierst
All in all, I would not bother me because that's not really great result.
The course can be HD from SD or even HD is logical, it can even look good and no one noticed for now.
But for making 4:3> 16:9 is already so ne thing especially if he has worked in the recordings not previously with guidelines.
My Conclusion / Tip also: Give you the work!

Because I disturb the black side bar and i want a SD and HD movie cut together. Have been rendered in HD, but it was just still only 4:3. The image quality was better than expected. I have selected in the Project 16:9, why is not output in 16:9?
'm Just not that familiar with this matter, therefore, those with their stupid comments keep the muzzle.

Antwort von Hans-Joachim:
Just because you own words are not as familiar with the matter, a questioning of the approach, in my view makes sense.
However, if you of other asking to keep his mouth shut, it's here for me to end.
