Frage von Steve Jobs:Did the question a little bit shorter,
If you've read videos lossless import may wish to do this in Windows as a Microsoft DV Avi and under Mac OS as Apple DV Mov.
Are these two formats of the same quality?
Am grateful for helpful answers.

Hi Steve,
if your camcorder has the ability, as an A / D - converter to act, then you should absolutely take advantage of this option. If your camcorder iMovie Capture when normal operation recognizes, it is synonymous no difficulties.
Advantage in DV Avis is that unlike MPEG2 not further compressed. The post was just crossfades, color and brightness changes are concerned by the compression is more difficult and leads to worse results.
Also, the quality of the MPEG-effective video-grabber is usually very bad, because they for real-time compression simply apply a constant bitrate. Subsequent MPEG2 encoding with variable bitrate quality is much better, because here at fast movements the bitrate up-and down in quiet scenes is set.
DV Avis, however, require much more space (about 12 GB per hour).

Control the issue but simply, if you want a different way.
