Hello,
I bought a Canon xl2 and read that one should use this high because of the wear is not too often as a player. Therefore, I have my tapes with an old Panasonic play on the computer. The pictures were quite blurry, but afterwards and no longer useful. What a player would be recommended? Maybe someone can help me, yes. Thank you.

Hello,
digital image errors are expressed in pixels - or blockiness, but not with a blurred picture. I type, therefore, more likely an error on capture, or the choice of the image output device.
How did you transfer the images on your computer? Unchanged as a DV-AVI? - On what monitor you have assessed the recordings? Computer or television?

This must have nothing to do with the fact that your Panasonic is older. In our video club, we had already often find that is contrary to all theories (including digital digital ...) another DV camera than the one with the recorded, gave a false result. I can capture shots of the XL1 with my VX2000 smoothly, reversed white areas get a pink stitch. With the DV tape deck of a friend (Sony) blocks formation when shooting with my camera can be observed, with the other non-AGX 100 in a friend's about it. It helps to just try it out. A palm-sized JVC (exact type designation now I do not know) brought up so far in any of us with a visible loss of quality.

The funny thing is that I have the images as an AVI with the old Panasonic DV in Adobe Premiere Elements and captured, they were blurred when dragging to the timeline while playing with the Windows Media player was clear. I have a camcorder then my friend used where it is not, these problems occurred, so I suspect that there are differences for each player. Should I buy myself as a player, therefore a new very good camcorder of Canon, since I have even taken the pictures with a Canon XL2? Or it is no preference, of which brand and how well the camcorder and the camcorder as a player is new? Finally, I can not even try before purchase the camcorder.

I find the solution to synonymous lot more comfortable than a 2nd camera.
