Hello dear community,
I used a lot of films on miniDV rotated and would like to bring to hard drive now. Vista recognizes my JVC via firewire or even borrowed my Panasonic. I have tried on two different PC's, the XP, to capture, but it does not, the devices are not detected.
What option do I have left? Tried an old laptop to bring to its work on Windows XP version (without all the updates), because I could capture before! But I did not make it synonymous because rausgebracht VAIO has no recovery. I hope with my Latin and s.end, can you help me maybe? In VISTA, the camcorder can be detected only via USB, which I can not rüberziehen films.

if you would know with windows, then you'd know that the beta of vista quasi win7 was or is, and thus each tip easily for win7 on vista is transferable.

I think I know myself well out with Windows. That it is with Windows 7, many problems with Firewire / were, is known to me. The fact that the synonymous to relate to Vista, to me, are brand new. From our own experiences and the descriptions of my student (several hundred people) to me no major problems with Vista Firewire are known. I am getting better but like to teach one.

in the threads to firewirewire and win7 were (since I've written a few synonymous) ussynonymous general advices like sitting right in the card slot, the driver is installed, etc. given, so that the th. could clarify a few things in common vorfeld to specifically weiterzufragen.

Firewire is designed with VIA chipset, as may help someone else Drivers
Choose a time that is new Drivers and Driver then old version.
