Hi,
My starting point is the following equipment:
1x DV Camera
1x HDTV Camera
1x Calculator
1x mixer (which is still open for Purchase)
Now a live Directing be realized, which I initially have the following general questions:
1) How will general release films / trailers in the "sending end" introduced? Putting on your PC virtually the Windows Media Player in fullscreen mode, and then turns on the PC monitor image to the box office movie on capture? Would be very "dirty", or?
I think when I know just no mixer function that virtually the push of a button on an internal / external memory and the video material on demand to retrieve and set the output.
The question thus: How are shakedown films "clean" introduced.
2) I have DV - or even HDTV signals from the cameras. My problem is that I basically only mixers are known, the S-Video input, which is not really "digital" make an impression.
The questions is: (s.Was mixers are models that I synonymous via Firewire Cams of my meals, and therefore work with digital material? (B) To what extent are quality losses, if I of digital DV / HDTV material on S-Video Skip ?

Of course there is such a mixer. The only question is, what budget you have.
Furthermore, the question for what purpose you need it all.
DV is designed for such "live"-mixer does not really verwendenswert because you have a time offset for each coding / encoding of around 12 frames.
For an ordinary system, you need SDI, HD HDSDI. The cameras must support (s.ungefähr 5000), and the mixer (s.etwa 8000). Playout Calculator by zb on a map of Black Magic (s.etwa 1000). Then there are great mixers of Grass Valley, for example, which can then directly synonymous to access clips. The mixer will cost a four figure.
Maybe you'll find but a little cheaper at Edirol for your applications, such as the new V8 and its players Panel ...
