Frage von ccatanga:Hello,
I would like possibly a purchase JVC MC500, but I read that these Cam mod-files (mpeg2 + = extra. generated information). Can someone tell me whether Magix with mod-files easily cope?
If there are problems with the JVC, the Panasonic GS400 for me would be an alternative. What do you think? I think Cam and harmony with Magix.

Regardless of dealing with those pesky mod files I would advise you to the Panasonic. This camera is probably better services to you (Picture / equipment to bring, etc.) than the JVC. Perhaps the time may indeed Bruno Peter notify you and praise all the benefits of the GS400, I (me) would opt for them.

Jens

CC Hello CC
The JVC is really super good, only MOD files are beyond the pale. You certainly do not work with Magix, unless they converted only with costly external applications. Then lose the video but the 16:9 format, and has other limitations. This is about the same as it would lead Ferrari in the summer for safety with snow chains.
The Panasonic is synonymous two disadvantages: 1 Much too heavy and bulky (170 mm edge length, 700 Gr.) And 2 Recording on mini DV tapes. If you can wait, I would wait until JVC has solved his problem with the MOD files. If not, would Canon MVX 4i is a viable alternative, has indeed synonymous DV tape, but it is lighter and smaller with comparable equipment.
Gruss,
Steve
