Frage von piter14:

Good morning

I want a project with 94 minutes to burn a DVD. The following export - but the settings is not possible:

6500 kbit / s and VBR, maximum 8000 kbit / s, minimum 5000 kbit / s - Audio PCM ...

I've converted into MPEG PCM .... so had about 87 min. place. It still lacks good 7 minutes (+ DVD menus, and do not require much space).

Where can I still was "rumschrauben" to my 94 min. on a DVD to get?

And ..., is between PCM and MPEG a (big) difference can be heard?

Greetings + Thanks
Peter

There is a formula, the second length of film and sound as a divider for the blank made available capacity (in bits, 1 byte = 8 bits) to be taken, the result is the VBR target data rate.
Above a video data rate of 6 Mbit / s VBR, however, makes no great difference, and with this constant rate would probably your content on a 4.7 fit it blank.
BR with C have shown the newer Klonprogramme for the small double-bill of DVDs is no problem (characteristic: The encoder is constant, not variable). The film is simply choked with data into a new file is copied. The program does nothing other than the above bit-precise account of the overall additional material (sound, menus, control files) to make.

At your place, I would at 8 Mbit / s constant encode (anyway, the best setting), MPEG sound is already in order. Then you reckon with such a DVD Shrinker small (constant).

If 94 minutes plus DVD menu dier to the data may be less than 5000 PCM sound.

PCM sound goes with 1536 kbit / s (or something similar) on the DVD. Put this data rate of the maximum possible on a DVD from (9500 kbit / s), then remain as the maximum data rate for video around 7000 kbit / s.
In CBR, I would not be more than 6000 kbit / s go VBR 6000 kbit / s as an average data rate 7000 kbit / s and minimal perhaps 4500 or 5000 kbit / s, depending on how long your movie is.

At 94 min. do you get it already so massive problems. With the sound takes over 1 GB in. For your film remains a maximum data rate of around 4500 kBit / s left for video.

Proposal: NO PCM sound, make an MPEG with 224 kbit / s or 384 kbit / s of it. This reduces the sound at 384 kbit / s to about 270 MB. With the video image, you can then at least to 5500 kbit / s go.

If I had known I would have hoped this miserable calculation so you can save.

Na - freu Dich, Du Flinker reckon that when I can :-)

But as already said the big Gorbachev: Who comes too early, has the damage.

Super, thanks for the info ...

And what about with the (audible) difference PCM - Mpeg from?

At 384 kbps, the quality more than his manière.
