The BQ of H.264 is worse in EDIUS and PPro CS4 / 5, as of the MPEG2-HD, which can confirm myself.

Mpeg2 is far from written off. First of all here is the iron law: more synonymous mbs mean better picture quality, what with h.264 according WoWus statements applies not more synonymous and second place today Manufacturers such as Canon with their new cameras to this format and, although with four : 2-2 and 100 mbs or more.
