At it's heaviest in Final Cut pro .... Motion is synonymous in some s.Ruckelei. Also, it is still bearable but really satisfactory, it is simply not true.
Of course I would be interested to know what I s.meinem iMac tune kaönnte / should make it run.
My system:
iMac24
2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo 2
2GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT 256 MB
I think Ram GraKa and would certainly be a starting point. If yes, what would be useful uwas would have felt s.stärksten / o. Ram GraKa)?

studio, you have 2 or 1?
s.final cut studio 5.1 runs on intelmacs (UB) - should you have an older version, it might be.

Has now done ..
The problem was my network disk on which data was available. I have to cut on my internal HDD that, then wars flawlessly ... To store the entire Project is now back on the external postponed. Thank you!
