Frage von Grabación:do in the forum again and again the problem is that people capture their footage with NTSC or PAL cameras converting NTSC files to PAL.
My problem is different:
Have einenCanonVIXIA HV 40 HD camcorder in the U.S. and accordingly my shots with it. I manage not to capture mini dv to's, neither with nor MC4 Avid with Final Cut Pro. It would be great if someone could tell me whether and how to do that.
As I start and not very familiar with all the settings and formats, I am ought to know, everywhere I find what needs to change settings for such.
- MC 4 shows only green image without sound, I can control the camcorder though.
- Final Cut Pro detects no device
Curiously, the operating system of my own movie i mac noProbleme the device has to recognize immediately and independently to capture the material.
Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

Curiously, the operating system of my own movie i mac noProbleme the device has to recognize immediately and independently to capture the material. In
Audio / Video Preferences in Final Cut Pro and the
Tab> Recording Devices, there are several control options. One of them - and synonymous with security other than "non controllable device" - works.
But best of all, you choose "Easy Setup: HDV.
With iMovie, you have
broken the traditional
Firewire - exclude dialogue, fortunately, is already working. If all else fails, there is no problem with iMovie gecapturete footage in Final Cut Pro to cut (you should "back log").

In the Media Composer because I had never problems. Are you sure that the project is synonymous to a NTSC Project?
Antwort von Grabación:
Thanks for the quick replies!
For Avid:
I've tried various settings and the HD-NTSC settings, ie 1080p/24 and 1080p/25, as the project settings.
However, there was then, after I had changed the Project, the problem is that the capture device detected no tool greater.
For Final Cut Pro:
When at the default settings for "recording" is and "device control" HDV or HDV Firewire set, or synonymous respectively NTSC settings are selected, the error message that the device is disconnected or the host default is false, or, possibly DV material with HDV device is played
I played a normal mini dv's with my HDV camcorder and not the expensive HD mini dv's used. Can this be the problem?

But what is it for material to DV or HDV, PAL or NTSC?
Antwort von Grabación:
Well, it is material, that with my U.S. Camera was taken. American products, as far as I understand it running, but with NTSC. The recording mode is HDV ('s a HD camcorder) and the mini dv's are just normal DV tapes. The camera has no problem synonymous to play the tapes. Is it perhaps containing no real HD noah planning, I can not see on the small screen. Looks good

A Slashcam called Dezorian Guy had a few years ago Trouble with a HV20 as NTSC device, with which he had made in 1080 24p, but which, in order to satisfy the HDV2 standard, as 1080 59.97 i was packed and apparently the * * to be displayed correctly when an Intermediate Codec,
reverse telecine had to be subjected. If you have made 24p, but sometimes do this: Take one off with iMovie clip and play in gecaptureten. Lines of salad? Connect the fields themselves in the ass? Probably not. See below for information, so you have to do it: Probably "60i". Na and? It is 60i and 24p
at the same time. There is
no need to deinterlacet, you can do it in either an i or p - throw timeline does not matter (only
export, you should use it only as 24p!).
And with HDV: Always, always, always take Easy Setup HDV.
Do you use the way in Final Cut Pro to capture not Apple HDV, but ProRes (only direct recording possible), you will be in the browser in the media properties, "24p" article (if I remember correctly so that the telecine Chose is superfluous) .
I played a normal mini dv's with my HDV camcorder and not the expensive HD mini dv's used. Can this be the problem? Has nothing to do. Just take fürCanonbesser not Sony premium, the better Panasonic.

I asked why:
or, possibly DV footage with HDV equipment will play Somehow suggests that a Vermixten mode.
In many camcorders, the display shows whether it is DV or HDV.
In addition, / you have to give menu of the camcorder, whether HDV or DV is issued.
Perhaps there is the problem.
