Strange device. Why should I buy? Flash Nano costs less than half, records to SDHC cards and offers a wider variety of formats.
Or do I overlook here irgendwetwas?

If I understand correctly, the announcement is part of the HD-SDI 4:2:2 and thus record or am I wrong? But this does not change the fact that the part I still think that's completely overpriced.

The Fire gate of Focus Enhancements have always been overpriced electronic scrap.
In one of my clients are around 3rd All is not older than 3 years.
Only one still works halfway. The other two did not go to extreme errors with drop outs etc.
Concerns are synonymous with my experience. I got my device but immediately returned one week after purchase.
As to the NanoFlash be much more reliable. Synonymous and workable.

Markus NanoFlash features synonymous but at 4:2:2, where the camera spends the s.SDI HD synonymous.

The new part of JVC is supposed synonymous record in 422:
JVC introduced at NAB with the MR-HD700, the study of a field recorder / players before that can be used synonymous as a standalone player.
The HD700 should be equipped with I / O for HD-SDI and also offer slots for two SD cards.
