Newsmeldung von slashCAM: New from the MSU Lossless codec of rudi - 4 Apr 2006 13:34:00 The Russian researchers from MSU have a new lossless compression codec available for free on the net. This is not so much this time, the popular HuffYUV codec goal of the comparison, but special screen capture codecs. Compared to the commercial Camstudio-Smith, leader of Tech, is the MSU codec again compress much better. However, comparative information is lacking on the compression speed of the individual codecs. Too bad, because poor performance is in many MSU products, unfortunately, often the cloven hoof, which prevents a productive use of free codecs. Nevertheless, good to know that there are alternatives.

The Russian site is full of links to comparative and god knows what all - synonymous to a supplier of TechSmith Camtasia I had seen a link. Apart from that, you find the vendor, of course, even faster with a Google search for "TechSmith".
