For the EOS 550D, there is now a new version of the firmware Magic Lantern, which has now matured slow for production use. Among the new features
- GUI menus that are activated by the clear key
- Zebra detection of under-and overexposure,
- Interval recordings
- Remote release via proximity sensor above the screen on the back
- AE Bracketing
- Scripting
- Programmable focus sequences
- Audio Settings
- Lower and higher bit rates, as already synonymous with the 5DM2
- At lower bit rate longer recording time of up to 30 minutes in full HD mode.

To use the new ML-firmware Canon Firmware 1.0.8 is required. Who has updated its Camera forward to the 1.0.9, it must wait a little or make a downgrade to 1.0.8. finally it's here - it (even a zebra), I have been waiting for the announcement of the ML 550D doe:)

Once I'm home I'll test me, very beautiful.

The ML version 1.0.9 is expected to be released today evening.

The old Canon firmware 1.0.8 (e8kr7108.exe / e8kr7108.fir / e8kr7108.dmg) can be found via Google. Important: to be reset before the downgrade has to DISK BOOT-Flag and reinstated after the downgrade. I recommend to the appropriate version of ML to wait and not to make a downgrade!

So I've still had checked with BootCF

I had not started it via command line.

After BootCF set the flags, I had the files of Magic Lantern copied to the card and had them put this in the Cam or the Disply stayed black.

It plainly it with the / I present the card

SanDisk Extreme III 30MB / s does not 16GB.

I have to wait until this evening NEN friend is home to me ne time can borrow another card, which include but are too slow for video but at least once to test whether it goes with this.

Do you have any data on it, or just the new from the archive? Because of the missing features like magiclantern.fir r1.

Extract the r1 (first version) look at the map, and read about the latest data with those from the archive. Perhaps this helps?

I do most times afterwards with my SanDisk / Transcend, I'm still in the lecture.

Have so far only my SanDisk Extreme III 8GB Class 6 tries it worked right away. So I was not yet to test the Transcend.

Unfortunately, the Cropmark are down in some way (you can not call in full screen) that I would have liked.
I still have some difficulties in determining exactly where the video image is captured (the Canon - "Cropmark"'re gone)

For me, the most important things:

Zebra-functioning (and even at shows over-exposure)
-Level control manual (no automatic everything, everything pegelbar)
Variable bit rate (larger data or extended recording time)
Interval recording for still images (for example, Timelapse)
-AE Bracketing with the way I understand it more comfortable creation of HDRs, so not as tricky as "onboard"

The Canon Cropmark, yes.
But I have to assume that are given elsewhere by the on-screen stuff in the principle, just not as directly.
I would test it if I do not actually have to learn somehow (sweet procrastination)

Update:

So I create grade NEN Tutorial

Here I Fiehl on when the SD card formatted with Win XP and then immediately BootCF then uses the files copied to the card then does not the story.

Formatting the card but I via Win XP and then let them LowLevel format with / in the Camera> then use BootCF and then copy the files to the card everything works as it should.

All cards are available to me.

Is your problem that you click BootCF twice and only briefly, a window opens and closes immediately?

If so: Open the Windows command prompt, then go to the directory where is BootCF leads BootCF E: from (if E is the drive of the SD card), then press w.
Finished the affair.

Edit: Should read before I reply, has already done ...
