Frage von Jan:Hi,
Sony Go now synonymous with gray imports severely to and changes his older 2-year warranty for digital cameras and camcorders.
Only the traders of Sony Germany will have delivered on their digital cameras and video cameras pure 2-year warranty - which Sony Germany partner.
You have to register yourself or the dealer makes it to the old 2 years to come.
Internet retailers and shops that get their goods elsewhere (; very often the lower gray imports), have s.sofort 1 year warranty (; like it in half the world is usually synonymous).
2 year warranty are indeed detected in Germany law, only you must be a customer after 6 months of the previous may lack, which is not always so simple. During the warranty will be repaired except in the case, water and impact damage are the costs of the company.

... Dealer, which are of Sony Germany supplies ... 2 year warranty ... gray imports ... 1 year warranty ... I'm surprised that Sony is only now that Germany - and still hold back - handles: Manufacturer of other importers go but for years and sit next understandably much from any free service for those products. Sony and Germany are actually still in the future one year warranty even on gray imports from obscure sources cheap? This is amazing, and I understand there something wrong?

Panasonic has even synonymous even 1 year, worldwide warranty. You will probably not bring the customers raul general. The specialty stores and chains had long been at loggerheads with the company, because the comparison & günstiger.de Prices are not feasible. This is now finally over.
The dealer with gray imports will almost always make the Manufacturer responsible and the customer believes it. Therefore, Sony has chosen well-Sun

I suspect that Sonyverstößt against the Directive 1999/44/EC of the European Parliament. Here, each EU consumers a 2 year guarantee promised by law ..... http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:31999L0044:DE:HTML
However, I am not a lawyer if this does synonymous with cameras from Japan.
(, 17) It is appropriate to the period during which the seller is liable for a breach of contract at the time of delivery of the goods to limit. Member States may also provide for a period within which consumers can enforce their claims, unless this period is not the end of two years s.dem ends before the time of delivery. If national legislation, the beginning of a period is not the time of delivery of the goods specified in, so that the total duration of the period laid down in national legislation, a period of two years of the delivery date does not fall below s.dem.

No, because here it goes to the claims of the buyer to the seller, not the manufacturer (; synonymous called warranty, 6 months shall apply, 2 years only with the burden of proof to the customer). Then there is a statutory claim.
Warranty, however, is a voluntary thing. If I am correctly informed, there is no right to it.
