Hello, contrary to your message, there will be probably no HDV support Avid 5.1.
And I've been so happy :-(
Behind HDV is a little star
At the bottom you can find him again with the following text:
HDV support planned for future versions. "
As the anticipation was probably more ;-)
For me, AVID has died at the lower and middle segment.
Announced was the option for the summer of 2005, will more likely 2006th
As a customer I would feel alienated.
Wonder just how such a global enterprise which again did not get to the row and slept through the trend.

Hmm, Page what do you think?
In the press release, the jedenfaslls sounds pretty definitive:
http://www.avid.com/company/releases/2005/050909_hdv_avid.html
"Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID) today announced that it expects to deliver native HDV editing and workflow support in its PC-based Avid Xpress ® Pro and Media Composer ® Adrenaline !" products by October 17, 2005."

OK, that sounds like it to feel better.
On the German page, which is synonymous linked, sounding different.
