Ich finds still a shame that AVCHD is next spread. The cut of this material is anything but funny. Toller would be a new HD-DV codec been reamed as DV, so to speak. 720p would be totally sufficient (IMHO)

GOP-based editing methods are now well proven and state of the art. Who sets the frame-based format absolutely value to stay with SD video. Incidentally, AVC-Intra for me is not an alternative: In 50Mbit / s you take in order to 960x720 or 1440x1080, and only in lush 100Mbit / s you get 1280x720 or 1920x1080 with 4:2:2. Sowas is suitable for most applications, an exorbitant waste of bandwidth and space. And what does 10bit help if the camera provides at best an SNR of 45dB?
