I have my SonyVHS recorder connected via scart to RCA s.meine PowerColor. Then start the program of CyberLink PowerDirector, but I get no picture! It only colors flicker and nothing else. Input source is set to Composite Video.
RCA cable from the video to scart adapter goes into the Power of Color.
What do I do wrong?

Hi Natasha,
because several causes may be: other functioning Videozuspielungen s.der graphics card? If the TV standard correctly (elected in this country PAL B / G)? The VHS recorder delivers a video signal (the scart adapter instead of an input could be an output)?
If you comes to video recordings capture a high quality and, if necessary without Picture-/Tonversatz, then an A / D converter would certainly be the better tool. ;-)

I tap on the "Scart to RCA adapter.
Most are available) only for the signal direction RCA (for Camera) to scart (to VCR / TV.
There are switchable "Scart to RCA adapter for both signal directions.
What does your adapter is connected, you can with one pass of the cable tester and find out FAQ.
Good luck The fat Stefan

hm, that is so hard to have imagined then ichs but net!
So, setting B and PAL composite video in PowerDirector.
Other sources I can not try because I only had the VCR to connect s.The graphics card! I bought a scart cable s.end 1Chinch Video Out, has 1Video In, 1TonL IN, OUT 1TonR
So, therefore, of the scart cable would have to go in both directions, as video IN and OUT!
So then the wiring harness s.der graphics. Now I connect the graphics card of the VideoIn with the scart cable from the VCR with Video OUT.
----> after I turn on the VCR colors flicker like mad when I switch it off, then only a black picture with the white flicker!
ps what is a s.wandler? Yes, I would like to archive VHS's ......

WELL, now I get a Picture!
Problem, however, the recorded picture on Power Manager (Mpeg1, high quality) is included, but after the play because somehow everything is much slower than the original! And is it synonymous jerkiness and the picture has the top and bottom strips, although the original is 4:3!
Are there any other Aufzeichnugsprogramm or what I do wrong? (discontinued, MPEG1, high quality, high speed ..............." synonymous change nothing!)
I would like to have a good quality but if possible 1h recording should not need more than 1.5GB!

In this case you prefer to orient s.einer higher quality solution with the same time easier handling. Learn more about this you will find here: FireWire FAQ">camcorder / recorder s.PC connect and capture images. There synonymous is described, what an A / D converter is and what equipment I would recommend.

To this I've written in the above linked post something (-> 1. (c) Why do not capture using graphics card, TV card or video grabber?).

This is a contradiction: If one hours to show only 1.5 GB of video (DV-AVI = 13 GB / hr.!), Forget the right s.The quality. ;-)
Realistically, you could from the templates Video CD (VCD)

Thanks for your reply.
is the thing with the A / V converter to which one would stop already spent 250, -, though I'm me, the extra graphics card with only VideoIn fetched. knew about it before, nothing!
I realize that at 1.5GB per hour, the quality may not be the best, but since it already anyway of VHS gibts is not improving as much. In addition, I have no LCD TV or something. I want the smallest possible files, then I grab all the VHS tapes on a NAS server would, of where I can watch them on my Dreambox (Mpeg1 / 2)!
Problem: In jumps Power Director in Mpeg1 Recording and shakes the upper edge of the picture after the recording! Mpeg2, I've been here all formats VCD, SVCD, DVD and tested, but all had after recording a really visible slowing of playback (such as fast slow motion) and it is synonymous with smaller kkmmt jerks!
Liegts s.Programm Power Director, or are others besides VirtualDUB (Picture is not)?
