(c) Why do not capture using graphics card, TV card or video grabbers?" in my post linked above probably already looked up. As you may invest a lot of time in poor quality.

The smaller the data rate is, the worse the picture-and sound quality. In the best case (maximum possible data rate), about one hours fit video to a DVD-5, with the lowest standards of quality even up to eight (8) hours. In the latter case, but you are far away of what one would typically describe as DVD quality. ;-)
Up to 120 minutes per DVD-5 are not a problem, but to compress the material should not be noisy.
