Frage von newbee:Hello,
I am relatively new here, yesterday was my first post (question) and there have been clear to me a lot. Today should be tried out the evening, but a little clouded his friends.
Over the whole simplicity of the theme connecting via firewire and the capture software I came across a term that confused me, namely:
OHCI NLE editing cards For
Scenalyzer (and synonymous to hire other programs) requires this well!
So my calculator: ASRock board, AMD Sempron 2500 +, Onboard Graphics (real 3D), DirectX9c, WinXP SP2. Even without firewire, but will soon.
Tonight we want to bridge the stain with a laptop:
Medion approximately a little over 1 years, not mine so I'm not there, the data grad, only - there is Firewire.
Also WinXP SP2 on it.
But now we get through these problems
OHCI NLE editing cards? If these do not exist .... or to hire is not an issue, ... or how ... or what?
Because I had already found something, but unfortunately these were my observations too high
: (
Thanks for the help

Antwort von Stefan:
In the early days of DV, the industry had not yet zusammengerauft, with which commands the NLE editing cards "will be served."
Although data could dig them all, but only if the appropriate drivers had received for the various chips on the card the commands.
The OHCI (Open Host Controller Interface) this intolerable situation has been resolved. They have agreed on a "command" and the Manufacturer, who had set up their hardware in such a way could draufschreiben OHCI.
Fittingly, Micro $ has often synonymous universal set for OHCI drivers in the Windows operating system and the card manufacturers now need not develop their own drivers to mitzuliefern or more.
With a new calculator or 1 years old, I do not see any problems. Modern cards or the internal connector are designed and built by OHCI and responsive.
Good luck
The fat Stefan

Hm. Grübel ........ Hmm ....
So if I understand correctly that there is no right OHCI NLE editing cards.
But that the FireWire PCI cards, or the interface are s.sich meant.
Well we'll see for This evening, I can post what times of this first attempt is made.
Thanks for the help first time

Antwort von Markus:
Hi Greg,
the cooperation of a computer usually works with camcorders that are connected via Firewire (IEEE1394 = = = iLink DV) without problems. - At least that was until Service Pack 2 (SP2) of Windows XP the case. Ggf. SP2 must be uninstalled when it comes to errors.
How can these errors appear, you will know the following contribution:

Moinmoin,
so I have time reports (very briefly just belatedly) to work is what came of it.
As Medion laptop, mini Firewire, WinXP Sp2 said, 256Mb Ram (quite thin) of Ram.
So join Scenayzer instalieren Camera (10 minutes)
Leading the film, worked beautifully (17 minutes, the duration entsprechned)
Browse movies times, all clear 72 sequences, all will be dismissed.
Then close Secenalyzer. 1. Error occurs.
Windows has encountered a problem and the application must be completed. Now, nothing unusual, we think the film is indeed on board.
Film on DVD burn him then process s.meinem Calculator next to.
Nero aborts burn.
Windows has encountered a problem and the application must be completed. Been uncommon.
Try again, the same thing.
Good deinstaieren SP2, we see time and time.
Uninstallation is aborted in the middle.
The rest can think of any. Chaos!
Medion reformat and reinstall Win.
Nothing unusual, if not synonymous just fun in the night.
But - one can say that the calculator makes no problems, everything works, the Easiest.
Thanks again for your help
