Hello afr0,
You certainly do not lack drivers, XP because of the house already has. I think you've got a full hardware conflict between sound card and Firewire card.
Go look at the device manager and try to play with the hardware settings to check what it across. Maybe you should ask someone who does that for you.
I assure you again that this is not the firewire drivers, since you just wasting time.
Greeting
Willi

Moin,
I have all the time no sound, is as if I have no sound drivers. Aba error is not reported in the Sound (in Device Manager). The only drivers I missing is the host.

Moin,
correctly, onboard sound card or extra card?
As a FireWire card? Then, map out and hear whether sound.
If no sound other contact eg NG
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=Germany_PSS_Pub&slcid=de Fire When sound again but this time the other slot. If in doubt, try all. The first slot next to the GraKA is usually never parallel connection with GraKa. In the Device Manager to question marks and / or exclamation ensured. So this was my hardware knowledge.
