I got a little money for a Panasonic M5, for fun. Does even more super.
I would be interested in:
1st How much did the unit again?
2nd It was then intended more for professionals or amateurs? Guess more for the latter ...
3rd As the image quality beats in Comparison to MiniDV camcorders?
4th Is there a manual somewhere that thing synonymous?

3rd The image quality of DV camcorders, although synonymous varies greatly, but apart from - and independent of the sensor and optics - the M5 is of course the VHS recording of the border. And the rate is well below what IT could do later.

1) is quite flexible, because time is extremely different. I say then another. The S-VHS version I once even (MS-4). The would have been 4500, - DM UVB. I believe the MS-5 UVB was at 2300, - DM or so.
2) clearly amateurs and professionals the cameras for a casting, etc. need.
3) in Comparison to a good DV camera pathetic. Technically: a perfect DVD recording is a maximum of 250 lines again, DV optimal 576 lines, so full PAL resolution. Then, stable colors, etc.
