I have a comprehension question:
When I render a project in S10, first, the message "Render Effects, transitions, titles ...". This lasts for quite some time, depending on the length of the film, and then begins the counting frame. After the frame count begins the DVD burning.
In S12plus it starts right with the frame counting, followed by burning. From the rendering is actually not visible and the whole process is much faster than in s10. The DVDs all come out correctly.
Is this a different rendering method in S12 than in S10?
Who can explain?

Maybe it is just combined and the effects not being rendered separately from the actual film ... also may be synonymous multithreading efficiently and the entire rendering process and speed increases have been (so it runs faster).
